Welcome back for Day 3 of the 2012 PokerStars.net Latin American Poker Tour Grand Final. From the original starting field of 367, just 24 players remain. Leading the pack is Caio Pimenta with 607,000 in chips.
Amongst the final three tables are two Team PokerStars Pros. First, we have Daniel Negreanu, who sits a bit more pretty with 398,000 in chips than his Costa Rican teammate, Humberto Brenes. Brenes will enter the day as the short stack with just 51,000 in chips and he;ll have a lot of work cut out for him if he hopes to better his 15th-place finish from last year in this event.
Other players still remaining are Joshua Ewing, Mayu Roca and Jose Nadal.

Action folded to Ioannis Beris on the button up on the feature table stage and he raised to 15,000. Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu made the call from the big blind and the flop came down . Both checked and the turn was the . Both checked again.
The river was the and both checked a third and final table. Beris tabled the and Negreanu mucked his hand to give Beris the pot.
When the table folded around to him in late position, Humberto Brenes open-shoved his last 34,000 into the middle. In the big blind, Martin Santos looked down at and made the call, and Brenes' needed to catch up to keep him around.
But it could not. The ace on the flop was bad news, and the was no use for Brenes. The shark has been hooked here early on Day 3, and Brenes is out as the 23rd-place finisher.
That leaves Daniel Negreanu to carry the torch for Team PokerStars Pro.
