The players are on a 15-minute break.
We were scheduled to play "six or seven" levels today, depending on the pace. That pace has been blistering up until now, and we've reduced our field down to just 209 at the moment.
We're six minutes from the end of the fifth level of the day, and we're still not sure how long we're playing. There is some discussion going on right now between some of the staff members, and we hope they'll make an announcement as the players return back from their break. Our hunch is they'll want to play the full seven levels, but with four days of play still remaining, we could probably stop at any point now and be just fine.
We'll let you know as soon as we find out; the players are awfully curious to know how to plan their evenings in San Remo, too.
Michael Benvenuti raised to 5,000 and Team PokerStars Pro Theo Jorgensen reraised to 12,000. Action folded back to Benvenuti and he moved all in for 61,400. Jorgensen snapped.

The flop came down and Benvenuti stood up from his chair. The turn was the and the river the , giving him a wheel. When he saw the wheel, Benvenuti was in disbelief. He sat back down to collect his chips while Jorgensen couldn't believe what had happened.

We saw Liv Boeree giving the news of her demise to Melanie Weisner, but we weren't close enough to eavesdrop very well. It sounded like she tried to isolate against a short-stacked shove, but she got re-shoved on and had to take her stand. Whatever her opponent had, it ended up better than her hand, and the charming Team PokerStars Pro (who won this thing in 2010) is out.

On a flop, we watched Salvatore Bonavena lead out for 7,000, and Attilio Donato raised to 17,000. Bonavena smirked and chatted him up, then called to see the turn. The Team PokerStars Pro checked this time, and Donato took his cue to bet 26,000. Bonavena did some more chatting, cutting down his ~89,000 chips to eye up the potential damage. After some painful deliberation, he decided that a shove was the right play, and Donato instantly called.
Bonavena spun his high into the air and onto the felt, and he was in a big hole against the of Donato. The river came the , and Bonavena could not catch up with his overpair. He thought he was eliminated, so he tried to push us out of the way to vacate the table.
Not so fast, Sal. He's still got 21,000 chips left, but it doesn't look like he's quite in the mood to play poker anymore. He angrily paid his debt and left his remaining chips unstacked in a messy pile in front of him, slouched in his chair with head shaking slowly back and forth.
