Biography

Karl-Anthony Towns is a Dominican-American basketball player from New Jersey that plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Since he was drafted as the first overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, Towns has been named the Rookie of the Year and he has made three All-Star teams.

Towns played college basketball at Kentucky and he represented the Dominican Republic on their national team when he was just 16 years old.

In 2023, Towns will participate in the Global Poker Celebrity Challenge, which will offer prizes and donations to charities, gives poker players a chance to take on four celebrities: NBA superstars Towns and Paul George, Olympic icon Michael Phelps and legendary producer DJ Khaled.

There will be four celebrity heads-up campaigns where each celebrity plays against the other, as well as four Celebrity Campaign Finals where Global Poker players can compete against the stars.
