A. A freezeout is where everyone sits down with the same amount of money and you go until one person has it all. Technically, every tournament is a freezeout as you go until there is one winner. However, in almost all tournaments, there are prizes for 1st, 2nd,... whereas in a freezeout, there is just a 1st prize and usually they are smaller events (2-10 people). Much as with every question, each room will have their own guidelines and rules so check wherever you're playing to find out their interpretation.
