2 | Bruno Volkmann | Brazil | 3,188,185 |
3 | Justin Bonomo | Canada | 3,158,272 |

8 | Alex Foxen | Canada | 660,504 |
9 | Sami Kelopuro | Finland | 316,820 |
Aleks Ponakovs has been running hot of late so it’s unsurprising to see him leading this ridiculous final table. He reached the final table last week but had to make do with an eighth-place finish worth $194,482. Thirteen GGPoker players are delighted by the fact Ponakovs is in pole position because he sold 50% of his action at 1.15 markup before the Super MILLION$ shuffled up and dealt on Sunday.
Brazil’s Bruno Volkmann is the man in second place at the start of the final table. The Brazilian is a regular in this tournament and has a solid record in it, winning $786,174 from it alone. A huge chunk of those winnings, $564,947 to be exact, stem from Volkmann’s victory back in September. Can he become a two-time champion?
Third place at the start of play belongs to Justin Bonomo who has cashed for the first time in this event, something that took him five attempts. The man with more than $49.1 million in live tournament winnings has almost $4.3 million in winnings at GGPoker alone. Write Bonomo off at your peril.
Davidi Kitai Wins HRW 18: $10,300 Super MILLION$ Main Event
Super High Roller specialist Timothy Adams has reached his second Super MILLION$ final table from 22 appearances, although this one cost him four bullets. The Canadian finds himself in the middle of the pack when the first cards are pitched.
There’s a fresh name at the final table, Costa Rica’s “BabyGirl21.” The unknown quantity hasn’t been playing at GGPoker long but has racked up $152,699 in winnings and this is their second Super MILLION$ appearance. They finished second in a $1,050 Bounty Hunters Series event recently for $79,041, a similar finish today would result in a $273.206 score.
David Miscikowski sits down sixth in chips and with a bit of work to do if he is to win this event. This is his third final table appearance in the Super MILLION$ and he’ll be hoping to go the deeper than his seventh-place finish in August, which is his deepest run so far.
Former World Series of Poker Main Event runner-up Dario Sammartino is one of the shortest stacks and sits down in seventh-place. The Austria-based Italian only has 7.2 big blinds to him name so Lady Luck will have a major role in whether or not challenges for the title.
Two players are even shorter than Sammartino. Alex Foxen, making his second final table appearance in this event, only has 6.6 big blinds in his stack. He’ll, no doubt, be very aggressive from the start as he tried to rectify his lowly position.
Finland’s Sami Kelopuro is even shorter with a mere 3.2 big blinds. It’s most likely that Kelopuro will be the ninth-place finisher in this event, but still don’t write off a player of his calibre.
