Don't Miss the Hollywood Poker Open $2,500 Championship Event Starting Friday in Vegas
The World Series of Poker isn't the only game in town. Starting Friday, June 26, 2015, Season 3 of the Hollywood Poker Open will see its culmination with the $2,500 Championship Event at M Resort Casino Spa in Las Vegas. This is a can't-miss event for those in the area, and it comes with a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000 that is anticipated to be shattered.
In Season 1 and Season 2, the HPO Championship Event attracted 631 and 692 entries, respectively, and this year's field is hopeful of pushing past the 700-entry mark. It all kicks off on Friday, June 26 at 12 p.m. local time with the plan to play 11 one-hour levels. Players will begin with a 20,000-chip starting stack, and registration will remain open until the start of Day 2.

"The Hollywood Poker Open $2,500 Championship Event is certainly one of the can't-miss tournaments of the summer," said PokerNews Editor-in-Chief Donnie Peters. "After two huge fields turned out in Season 1 and Season 2, an average of $335,000 was awarded to the winner. Add in the great HPO staff, world-class M Resort Casino Spa, and playing alongside 2003 WSOP Main Event champion Chris Moneymaker, and you’d regret passing this one up."
The event will be covered by the PokerNews Live Reporting team, and those playing will be able to utilize the popular MyStack App to update their hands and chip counts straight into the live blog. To learn more about the app, and to download for free on both iOS and Android devices, click here.
