After the success of the poker festival organized one year ago to start the 10th season of the European Poker Tour, PokerStars gets ready to celebrate yet another great milestone in Barcelona, Spain with the 100th EPT taking place right at the start of Season 11.

In a press release sent to the media on Wednesday, PokerStars announced an impressive 43-event heavy schedule for the upcoming poker festival running between August 16 to 27, 2014, in the Casino Barcelona.

"Season 10 was such a huge success that we are very excited about the 100th EPT in Barcelona," said EPT president Edgar Stuchly. "It’s going to be a historic event and we are looking forward to welcoming thousands of players to Casino Barcelona to take part."

Coming off the success of last year's edition, which drew more than 9,000 participants, the 2014 EPT Barcelona will again join forces with the national Estrellas Poker Tour to offer a large number of events with a wide range of buy-ins.

Among the most interesting events, besides the Estrellas €1,100 Main Event and the EPT €5,300 Main Event, are the newly added €200 and €1k Seniors Events (for ages 50-plus), as well as a thrilling €48,500+€1,500 Super High Roller tournament that will undoubtedly attract some of poker's greatest players from all over the world.

The Barcelona poker festival will also include a €200 ladies event, a €1k PLO Hi/Lo Championship event, a €1k Limit Omaha Hi/Lo Championship and a €1k No Limit Omaha Hi/Lo Championship – all 8-handed.
