Tony G Celebrates Success of TonyBet Poker OFC Series; 'kingkai' Wins Opening Event
"The first event was definitely a huge success!" TonyBet Poker owner Tony G told PokerNews about My First Trike, the opening event of the open-face Chinese (OFC) poker series which began Monday at TonyBet.
"We hoped for at least 100 players at the tables, but had almost twice as much, which I'm really happy about," he continued. "I played the event myself and I had a lot of fun as I'm sure everyone else did. I have also talked to my poker buddies and got only positive feedback – everyone just loved it and can't wait for the rest of the series."
The event, a fun and fast-paced €10 OFC pineapple tournament which took off at 10 p.m. UTC+3, broke the €1,000 guarantee as it attracted 179 players who battled their way to the top to get a chunk of the final €1,585 prize pool. After more than four hours of action, player "kingkai" closed the event in first place to collect a €435 payday. "Moreaal" (€277,2) and "sazam" (€183,74) followed in second and third place, respectively.
