Lee Jones Named New CardRunners Chief Operating Officer 0001

Lee Jones, the Executive Host for the European Poker Tour, has departed that position to become the Chief Operating Officer of CardRunners.com, the prominent poker-video instructional site.

Jones, a poker veteran who gained industry fame as the longtime online room manager for PokerStars beginning in 2003, moved over to full-time duties with the EPT in April of 2007, where he served as event organizer and lead broadcaster on EPT webcasts. Jones also continued to put in unofficial appearances at other Stars events. At CardRunners, Jones will be involved in operational and business matters, including a complete review of the company and its services. Jones' move to the new position with CardRunners is effective immediately.

CardRunners' own growth as a video-instruction site has placed it among the leaders in that category. The current lineup of CardRunners pros consists of Taylor Caby, Andrew Wiggins, Brian Townsend, Brian Hastings, Mike Schneider, Cole South and Eric Liu. CardRunners also recently inked a deal with Full Tilt poker for intructional content, which also added the Team CardRunners to Full Tilt's lengthy roster of affiliated players.

Along with CardRunners' growth potential, Jones, in a BLUFF Magazine piece, cited a planned return to the United States as part of the impetus for the move.
