Caesars Palace 'Mega Stack Series' Adds to Summer Vegas Fun
April 29, 2008 Haley Hintze
A very busy summer for poker in Las Vegas, both at the World Series of Poker and elsewhere, has become even busier with Caesars Palace's creation of its new Mega Stack Series. The series increases competition for the "deep stack" segment of the market, which has seen heightened popularity as players seek more bang for their poker bucks.
The Mega Stack Series at Caesars will run June 1st – July 9th, 2008, with 43 events spread across the 39-day run. Each day from June 1st through July 9th, play begins at noon in that day's first event. A few extra events are scheduled to start at 3 pm on selected days. July 7th marks the beginning of the three-day Mega Championship, which features a $1,000 + 60
buy-in.
Buy-ins for other events run as low as $200 + 25, with tournaments beginning in all but two instances with at least 5,000 chips (more in higher-priced events) and 50-minute levels. An optional $10/2,500-chip "staff bonus" add-on is also available at the start of each event. Registration begins at 10 am each day.
More details are available at Caesars Palace or at harrahs.com. The complete schedule for the Mega Stack Series:
