Key 888 Poker App Features
You may be wondering why you would need the 888 poker mobile app if you are happy with the desktop software. You probably didn't in years gone by because mobile poker apps left little to be desired, but the 888 poker app is a top-tier product that you could use instead of the downloadable software if you wish.
- Designed to be played one-handed - The 888 poker app is designed to be played in portrait mode, which makes it natural to play with one hand. All of the action buttons are within a swipe of a finger or thumb, making 888 a truly mobile experience.
- Easy to navigate layout - It is super easy to navigate around the 888 poker app. The developers created a tiled layout for the various games, making moving around the app a breeze despite the obvious smaller screen size when playing on mobile devices.
- A full suite of games is available - The 888 poker app not only has all of your favorite cash games and tournament variants, but the famous 888casino and vibrant 888sport are built into the app, making the 888 poker app all-encompassing.
- Never miss a hand of poker again - Do you live a busy life where you are constantly on the move? Do you frequently work away from home and spend much time in hotels? Take your 888 poker account with you without having to carry around your bulky laptop!

Poker Games on 888 Poker
888 Poker currently offers three poker variants: Texas Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha, and Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo. That trio of variants is available in cash games, sit & go tournament, and multi-table tournaments.
888 cash games are available in a wide range of stakes, from as low as $0.01/$0.02 up to $25/$50, and with several levels between those two extremes. The majority of cash game action at 888 takes place on six-handed tables, although nine-handed tables do occasionally run. If you are a heads-up poker specialist, there are no one-on-one cash games at 888 poker.
Aside from the wide range of cash games stakes, 888 poker has a reputation for hosting the softest cash games in the online poker industry. Many of its sports and casino customers come across and try poker for the first time, leading to some fantastic games. In addition, the look, feel, and recreational player-friendly promotions attract newcomers to the tables.
There is another cash game format you can play at 888 poker, one called SNAP. SNAP is 888 poker's take on fast-fold poker, where the software instantly moves you to another table with fresh opponents whenever you click the fold button. You can even fold before it is your turn to act, which makes it possible to play many more hands per hour compared to a traditional cash game.
No-Limit Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha, and Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo sit & go tournaments on heads-up, six-max, and full-ring tables run frequently at 888 Poker. Their buy-ins start at only $0.10 and increase to $100.
Play Blast Poker at 888 Poker
Blast is 888 poker's jackpot sit & gos, and potentially one of the most profitable poker formats on the site. They are three-handed hyper-turbo sit-and-go tournaments, where you sit down with only a handful of big blinds and where the prize pool is randomly determined before the first hands are dealt.
Most of the time, you will play in a winner-takes-all tournament for a prize pool two or three times the size of your initial buy-in. However, the prize pool multiplier can hit 10,000 times, leading to top prizes of $1 million in the $100 buy-in level.
Play Home Games on 888 Poker
888 poker also allows their players to set up their very own home games so you can battle against your friends rather than the general player pool. You can also play this from your mobile device, so you can always hop into the action.
888 Poker Tournaments
888 Poker is the online poker site for you if you love playing in action-packed multi-table tournaments. MTTs from only $0.10 to $525 run around the clock, with some buy-ins topping $2,100 or more during 888's world-famous poker tournament festivals. Tournaments at 888 come in a massive variety of shapes an sizes, including freezeouts, turbos, hyper-turbos, progressive knockouts, and mystery bounties.
The biggest weekly tournament, in terms of its guaranteed prize pool, is the $109 buy-in Mystery Bounty Main Event, which boasts a $100,000 guarantee! 888 is still the only online poker site that offers daily mystery bounty tournaments; the site has fully embraced this format.
Mystery Bounty tournaments play like a traditional bounty tournament, but the bounty amounts remain a secret until they are won. Eliminate an opponent when the mystery bounties are active, and you get to open a golden envelope with a mystery prize inside! These are some of the most fun and coolest online poker tournaments you can play today.

888 Poker Software Review
888 Poker has been a top-tier online poker operator for more than two decades, and you do not stay at the top of this industry for long if your poker software is not up to par. It is obvious from the look, feel, and functionality of the current 888 poker software that there has been a huge investment in that department, with the Poker 8 software held in the highest regard.
Usability of 888 Poker Software
One of the first things that strikes you about the 888 software is how easy it is to use. The icons in the lobby are a little on the small size, but everything works lightning fast and as it is intended.
There are dozens of options that allow you to tailor the software to your needs. These include auto-top-up in cash games, auto rebuys and add-ons in tournaments, the ability to display your stack in big blinds, chips, or money, along with fully customizable bet sizes.
Reliability of 888 Poker Software
No online poker site guarantees they will be fully functioning 100% of the time because of the very nature of being hosted on the internet. That said, 888 has a stellar reputation for having very little unscheduled downtime.
On the rare occasions that something causes the software to stop functioning, 888 has policies in place that ensure that you never financially miss out. These policies include disconnection and cancellation procedures, although they are rarely used.
Look and Appearance of 888 Poker Software
The 888 Poker software looks fantastic in its standard form, but it is fully customizable. The lobby and tables are uncluttered and pleasing to the eye. However, there is no option to chat with your opponents. This is not a deal-breaker for most, but many people prefer having the option to type to their opponents.
There are dozens of avatars to choose from to represent you at the 888 poker tables, although you can upload one from your computer should you wish to do so. You can also choose from several table felt colors and themes, numerous background colors, different card backs, and a handful of playing card options, including a couple of four-color decks.
888 Poker Customer Service, Contact and Support
It is unlikely that you will encounter any issues while playing at 888, but you can rest assured that there is an elite-level customer support team waiting in the wings that are ready to answer any question you may have. The 888 FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page should be your first port of call because it is packed with information about the most common questions.
Should the FAQ section not rectify your issue, you can contact the 888 customer support team by sending an email via a form on the support page, or via the live chat feature built into the 888 poker cashier.
888 Poker Security
Although 888 Poker prides itself on creating a fun online poker experience, it takes security deadly seriously. 888 utilizes sophisticated encryption technology that ensures your data is transferred securely over the internet. All personal and financial information is stored on a secure server that is protected with bank-level firewalls and encryption technology.
All customer deposits are held in an account separate from 888's funds, ensuring you always have access to them regardless of the situation. Furthermore, 888 adheres to the strict terms and conditions of its licenses, ensuring the games there are 100% fair, and your funds and data are 100% safe and secure.
Lastly, 888 Holdings, the parent company of 888 Poker, is publically listed on the London Stock Exchange.
