There was an exceptional turnout for Day 1a of the $3,500 Main Event at the 2023 Wynn Millions which saw a total of 342 entries recorded for the opening flight. It was also a field littered with familiar faces, many of which advanced to Day 2ab already which will take place on Monday, March 6. As the weekend begins here in Las Vegas, another large field is expected for Day 1b which will be getting underway at 12 p.m. noon local time.

Among many of the notable names that took part on Day 1a, it was Michael Dyer who finished the day on top with a stack of 516,000 chips. Dyer, a former WSOP Main Event final tablist, was forced to use two bullets but made good on his second and will return to a stack of over 200 big blinds.

Some other big names that advanced to Day 2ab include Nick Palma (368,500), Justin Liberto (362,500), Matthew Wantman (306,500), and former Wynn Millions champion Andrew Moreno (267,000). All of these players and more have earned themselves a break for a couple of days while there will be many others returning to the felt today looking to punch their ticket to the next stage.

The action will be kicking off at 12 p.m. noon local time with another ten 60-minute levels on the schedule for Day 1b. A starting stack will be worth 40,000 chips and the blinds will begin at 100/200 and a 200 big blind ante. There will be a 15-minute break after every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after level six.

An unlimited number of reentries will be permitted throughout each flight which makes for plenty of action right from the start. Late registration will remain open until the start of level nine on all of the Day 1's. For any of those that make it through the day and put chips in a bag, they will also be returning for Day 2ab on Monday, March 6.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be back on the tournament floor to bring you all of the live updates throughout the day so make sure to stay tuned in.
