Donovan Takes Multi-Way Pot

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Zachary Donovan opened to 450,000 from middle position and both Andrew Esposito and Mark Zajdner made the call from the blinds.

All three players checked down on a runout of {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{k-Spades}. Esposito tabled {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a rivered pair of kings but was no good against the {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for Donovan who scooped the pot.

Donovan Involved in Every Pot

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Zachary Donovan opened to 450,000 in early position and Pedro Ingles three-bet to 1,125,000 on his left. The action folded back to Donovan who dumped his cards to the muck.

On the next hand, Donovan raised to 450,000 under the gun and Michael Rossitto defended from the big blind. The flop came {q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Rossitto check-folded to a bet of 300,000 from Donovan.

Following that, Jacob Powers limped in from middle position and Donovan checked his option. The flop fell {q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Donovan check-called a bet of 200,000 from Powers.

The turn brought the {6-Clubs} and both players checked to the {4-Hearts} on the river. Donovan led out with a bet of 450,000 and Powers quickly called. Donovan showed {a-Hearts}{3-Spades} but Powers held {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a pair of sevens.

Cliff Ziff Eliminated In 9th Place ($67,765)

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Cliff Ziff
Cliff Ziff

In the second hand of Day 6, Cliff Ziff opened to 500,000 from under the gun and it folded to Andrew Esposito in the big blind who, after close to a minute, moved all in. Ziff snap-called for his last 5,300,000 total and was the player at risk.

Cliff Ziff: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Andrew Esposito: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

It was a coin-flip situation and when the board ran out {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, the ace river fell like a ton of bricks for Ziff who was sent to the rail in ninth place.

Who Will Come Out on Top in the $3,500 Main Event at the Wynn Millions?

Trophy
Trophy

Welcome to the last and final day of the $3,500 Wynn Millions Main Event here at the beautiful Wynn Las Vegas. A total of 1,314 entries joined the field over three starting flights and after five action-packed days of poker, only nine players remain in the hunt for Wynn Millions glory.

Once the dust settled on Day 5, Zachary Donovan bagged the top stack with 11,775,000 in chips. Donovan, who is now a Las Vegas local, said he primarily plays cash games around the area as well as most of the major tournament events in the city. Donovan has close to $2.2 Million in earnings and with his largest score being just over $260,000, will look to smash that record with the $654,637 top-prize.

Donovan will definitely have his work cut out with the likes of Pedro Ingles (7,175,000), Andrew Esposito (6,175,000), and Jacob Powers (6,075,000) close on his heels.

All nine players have locked up a guarantee pay-day of at least $67,765, but will have their sights set on the lion's share of the $4,171,950 prize pool. Action kicks off today at Noon and blinds will resume at Level 30 with 100,000/200,000 and a 200,000 big blind ante. There will be a 15-minute break at the end of each 90-minute level and depending on how long the day goes, could be a dinner break added in. The action should speed up some with the average stack being just under 30 big blinds.
