Moreno Makes Straight

Level 32 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Andrew Moreno
Andrew Moreno

Stephan Nussrallah opened to 550,000 in the cutoff and Andrew Moreno defended the big blind.

Both players checked the {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop to the {q-Spades} turn, where Moreno check-called for 600,000. Moreno checked again on the {6-Diamonds} river, and Nussrallah checked back.

Moreno revealed {j-Hearts}{9-Spades} to take the pot with a turned straight.

Nussrallah had also lost a recent pot to Diego Sanchez to move him further down the counts.

Sanchez Fills Up

Level 32 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Diego Sanchez limped from the small blind and Jinho Hong checked his option to send the two players heads-up to the flop.

On the {10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} flop Sanchez led out for 250,000. Hong was not prepared to let his hand go and made the call.

Sanchez slowed down on the board pairing {10-Clubs} turn, checking to Hong who fired off 450,000. After some thought, Sanchez tossed in calling chips.

Both players checked on the {10-Spades} river and Sanchez turned over {a-Spades}{9-Hearts} for the full house, tens full of aces, which was good enough take down the pot.

Smiljkovic Gets Paid Off

Level 31 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Jinho Hong opened to 400,000 from early position and Daniel Smiljkovic defended out of the big blind.

Smiljkovic checked on a flop of {6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and called after Hong continued for 300,000.

Action checked through the {6-Spades} turn to the {8-Diamonds} river where Smiljkovic led out for 400,000. Hong called and was shown {8-}{8-} by Smiljkovic for the rivered boat, a hand Hong could not sink with his own holding.

Romero Shoves on Nussrallah

Level 31 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
James Romero
James Romero

James Romero opened to 400,000 in the hijack and Stephan Nussrallah defended the big blind.

The dealer fanned the {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop and Nussrallah check-called for 300,000.

The {j-Diamonds} landed on the turn, Nussrallah checked, and Romero moved all in for 3,325,000. Nussrallah thought about it before sending his cards into the muck to concede the pot.

Level 31 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Jampa Dothar
Jampa Dothar

Jinho Hong opened to 400,000 from under the gun and Jampa Dothar shoved all in from the cutoff. Action folded back around to Hong who made the call with the bigger stack to put Dothar at risk.

Jampa Dothar: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Jinho Hong: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Dothar was in bad shape but did pick up some additional outs on the {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop. He could find no further help, however, on the {7-Hearts} turn or {6-Hearts} river, ending his impressive run in 9th place.

Yuki Kashihara Eliminated in 10th Place ($61,950)

Level 31 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Yuki Kashihara
Yuki Kashihara

Yuki Kashihara moved all in for 1,750,000 from under the gun and was called by Jinho Hong on the button. The blinds got out of the way and Kashihara was officially at risk.

Yuki Kashihara: {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Jinho Hong: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Kashihara was dominated and would need significant help to survive. No help came on the {2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop and the {6-Diamonds} turn actually removed one of Kashihara's outs. The {2-Clubs} river completed the board, sending Kashihara out in 10th place. With his elimination, the final table of nine has been set.
