Furth Pays Off Funaro

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Start-of-the-day chip leader Frank Funaro raised from the cutoff and Bruno Furth defended his big blind to see a flop of {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

Furth check-called a bet of 55,000 and then checked again on the {q-Spades} turn. Funaro upped his bet to 170,000 and again Furth called.

When the {4-Spades} completed the board on the river, Furth checked and Funaro bet 400,000. Furth hit the tank long and hard before spiking in a call only to muck when Funaro rolled over the {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for two pair.

Baker Rivers Lucky Lady to Double Through Drinan

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Connor Drinan raised from middle position and then called the 128,000 three-bet jam David "ODB" Baker made on the button.

Connor Drinan: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
David "ODB" Baker: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{k-Hearts} flop hit both players but gave Drinan a sweat as Baker picked up the heart flush draw. The {10-Spades} turn paired the board bringing possible chop outs if another were to fall on the river.

Luckily for Baker, the {q-Spades} fell on the river to secure his double up.
