Negreanu Makes a Stand; Gets Lucky

Andrew Robl had been getting the better of Daniel Negreanu so far but the tables have just turned after Negreanu got lucky on the river to double-up. Around 60,000 had made it into the middle by the turn with the board reading {4-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{6-Spades}{k-Hearts}. Robl led for 37,000 to face a 132,500 push for Negreanu. Call.

Negreanu tabled {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a pair and flush draw, behind to Robl's {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. The river came {8-Hearts} to temporarily crush Robl's hopes of advancing. He's down to 145,000 now.
