Lorenzo Arduini Eliminated in 5th Place (€12,850)

Level 30 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Lorenzo Arduini
Lorenzo Arduini

Paco Kaplan raised to 250,000 from under the gun and Lorenzo Arduini made it 900,000 on the button. Once the blinds got out of the way, Kaplan shoved, and Arduini called off his stack of around 1,700,000, which left him at risk.

Lorenzo Arduini: AK All in
Paco Kaplan: JJ

Arduini looked excited as the window card was the K, but it was closely trailed by J5, which gave Kaplan a set. The Q on the turn did give Arduini a Broadway draw, but the A river didn't complete it.

Deeb Rockets Into the Chip Lead, Gavrila's Stack Trending Down

Level 30 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Paco Kaplan opened on the cutoff to 250,000 and Viorel Gavrila shoved his monster stack into the middle from the button. Shaun Deeb was in the big blind and put in his stack of 2,215,000, and Kaplan folded.

Shaun Deeb: AA All in
Viorel Gavrila: A10

Deeb's chances to win the hand went from high to almost certain on the 10A4 flop as he flopped top set. Somehow, Gavrila did have an out to win by the time the 10 turn hit the baize as a ten on the river would give him quads. The miracle card didn't come, as the 2 filled out the board, which saw Deeb jump into the chip lead.

Mozaffarian Rivers a Flush to Double Through Gavrila

Level 30 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Amir Mozaffarian
Amir Mozaffarian

Amir Mozaffarian raised from the button to 225,000 and Viorel Gavrila shoved from the big blind with the covering stack. Mozaffarian had roughly 2,200,000 remaining in his stack, and after a few moments made the call to put himself at risk.

Amir Mozaffarian: A9 All in
Viorel Gavrila: A10

If Gavrila could hold here he would become an overwhelming chip leader. The flop of K3J kept Gavrila ahead. However, Mozaffarian picked up a flush draw on the 6 turn, and when the 4 came on the river to give Mozaffarian the winner with the nut flush, he punched the air in jubilation.

Zdenek Zizka

Lorenzo Arduini made it 450,000 from the hijack and Zdenek Zizka shoved for around 800,000 from the button. Once the blinds folded, Arduini made the call with a slightly covering stack.

Zdenek Zizka: 88 All in
Lorenzo Arduini: 1010

Zizka was in a deep hole and couldn't find a way out of it as the runout of AKAQ2 kept the pocket tens of Arduini in the lead.

Level 30 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
John Armbrust
John Armbrust

John Armbrust raised to 200,000 from hijack and Viorel Gavrila defended out of the big blind.

Gavrila led out for 300,000 on the 987 flop and Armbrust raised to 1,000,000. Gavrila didn't think for long before shoving for Armbrust's remaining 1,200,000. Armbrust snap-called.

John Armbrust: 87 All in
Viorel Gavrila: 65

Gavril had flopped a straight against the bottom two pair of Armbrust. The 2 turn followed by the 10 river didn't improve Armbrust to a full house and he was out in seventh.

Yehor Shumeiko
Yehor Shumeiko

Amir Mozaffarian made it 225,000 to go from under the gun and the action folded around to Yehor Shumeiko in big blind, who had around 400,000 behind. After thinking it over, Shumeiko decided to shove, and Mozaffarian quickly called.

Yehor Shumeiko: Q6 All in
Amir Mozaffarian: AK

Shumeiko caught a piece of the Q5J flop, but then fell behind on the K turn as Mozaffarian improved to top pair. The 7 on the river couldn't rescue Shumeiko, and he was out in eighth.
