Tsoukernik Turns a Set

Level 21 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Alex Foxen A8 opened to 200,000 from under the gun and Salih Atac 99 called from the cutoff. Leon Tsoukernik 66 and Alessandro Pichierri J10 called from the blinds.

Atac's nines remained best following the 732 flop, and he called when Foxen continued for 225,000. Tsoukernik also stuck around ahead of Pichierri folding.

The 6 turn saw Tsoukernik take the lead with a set of sixes. He checked and Foxen followed suit to put the action on Atac. The latter fired out 575,000, and then Tsoukernik jammed. Foxen folded and Atac had a decision for his tournament life. The Swiss player had 2,900,000 behind and he managed to find the fold with his overpair.

Foxen Continues to Widen the Gap

Level 21 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Alessandro Pichierri J10 opened to 200,000 first to act and was called by Alex Foxen KJ from the cutoff. Leon Tsoukernik 109 defended his big blind.

Pichierri continued for 280,000 on the 522 flop, and Foxen called with his flush draw ahead of Tsoukernik folding. The J turn connected with both remaining players, and action checked through to the K river, which gave Foxen kings and jacks.

Pichierri bet 450,000 with the second-best hand. Foxen used a time bank while he weighed up his options. The American bumped it up to 2,220,000, and Pichierri opted to preserve the 1,800,000 he had behind and folded.
