Livshitz Halts Kometiani's Rise

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Vazha Kometiani had built up a stack approaching 800,000 as he opened to 15,000 in the hijack.

"How's it going?" Lars Brodin called over from another table.

"Not too bad," Kometiani replied.

"My stack has potential," Brodin added about his much-smaller stack of around 60,000.

Gabi Livshitz then called on the button, as did Tomasz Gluszko in the big blind. Kometiani continued for 54,000 on the QJ2 flop and only Livshitz called.

The turn was the 10 and Kometiani moved all in. Livshitz snap-called for 128,000 and showed KJ97 for a straight, while Kometiani had KQJ10 for two pair and a straight draw.

The 5 fell on the river and Livshitz held on to earn the double up.
