Another Big Pot Headed to Dick

Level 16 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Michael Dick
Michael Dick

Dmytro Stetsiura opened for 20,00 in middle position. Michael Dick then three-bet to 65,000 in the hijack, which Rachid El Yaacoubi called in the small blind.

Stetsiura got out of the way before El Yaacoubi led out on the 9J8 flop. He bet 35,000 and Dick raised to 115,000. El Yaacoubi called, only to lead out again on the J turn, this time for 200,000.

Dick was going nowhere and called. The 5 river was then checked by both. El Yaacoubi showed the 5 for a pair of fives. Dick insisted on seeing the other card, which was the 6.

Dick then celebrated loudly as he tabled his KK for an overpair and took down the sizable pot.

Viktor Blom
Viktor Blom

Cristian Visoiu opened to 20,000 from middle position and was called by Dariusz Marcinkowski on the button before Eyal Bensimhon moved all in for around 380,000 from the small blind. Viktor Blom then re-shoved for around 730,000 from the big blind and Visoiu went into the tank.

Visoiu burned through two time banks before mucking his hand and Marcinkowski quickly folded afterwards leaving Bensimhon at risk against Blom.

Eyal Bensimhon: AJ All in
Viktor Blom: AA

Bensimhon was drawing dead by the turn on the 456Q9 runout and he made his exit from the tournament area while Blom took the pot, bringing his stack to over 1,000,000.

Cristian Visoiu mentioned to his tablemates after the hand that he had folded pocket queens.

Svach Catches Astedt Speeding

Level 16 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Pavel Svach
Pavel Svach

Stanislav Zegal opened to 20,000 from the cutoff and was called by Pavel Svach on the button before Niklas Astedt squeezed to 90,000 from the small blind. Zegal got out of the way while Svach made the call.

The flop came 238 and Astedt fired a 75,000 continuation-bet that was called by Svach.

Astedt fired another barrel for 150,000 on the K turn and once again Svach made the call.

On the A river Astedt bet 250,000 and Svach snap-called.

Astedt was bluffing with Q7 while Svach had rivered a wheel straight with 54 to take down a colossal pot while making a serious dent in Astedt's stack.

Ricci Takes the Chip Lead After Set Over Set Busts Foxen

Level 16 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

Alex Foxen opened to 20,000 from under the gun and called when Andrea Ricci three-bet to 70,000 from the cutoff.

Foxen check-called for 40,000 on the A75 flop, bringing in the 9 turn. Foxen check-jammed over a bet of 140,000 and Ricci snap-called to set up a more than one million chip pot.

Alex Foxen: 77All in
Andrea Ricci: AA

Both players flopped a set, but Ricci's superior three-of-a-kind left Foxen drawing to one out. The 5 river improved both players to a full house but it wasn't the card Foxen needed and he headed out of the tournament room while Ricci took the chip lead.

Boris Angelov, who was at the table, said Foxen started the hand with around 500,000 to 550,000, meaning Foxen's all-in was north of 400,000.

On the table behind, fellow high roller Viktor Blom also chipped down after dropping a pot. With around 210,000 in the middle on the 95279 board, Eyal Bensimhon fired out 110,000 from the big blind. Blom used up a time bank before conceding the pot.

Salih Atac: A3 All in
