Shaun Deeb Continues Hunt for Seventh Bracelet on Day 4 of WSOP Europe Main Event

Today, at noon local time, the final 47 players in the 2024 World Series of Poker Europe €10,350 Main Event will come back to King's Resort in Rozvadov, Czechia, for the penultimate day of the tournament. Among those returning is WSOP legend Shaun Deeb, who, after a roller coaster of a Day 3, bagged 2,315,000 chips, good for 58 big blinds when play resumes.

Deeb has been winning live tournaments for over 15 years, with his first recorded victory stemming from 2007. He was also one of the most feared online players for years until he started to mostly focus on live poker. He won his first bracelet in 2015, and since then five more have been added to his prize cabinet. However, a WSOP Europe bracelet still eludes him, coming tantalizingly close in 2018 but having to settle for second.

With an above-average stack, Deeb will be looking to make his seventh WSOP Europe final table appearance in hopes of closing this one out. However, Deeb only has about half the chips of chipleader Rachid El Yaacoubi. The Frenchman grinded his way to a massive stack of 4,100,000 on Day 3, being the only person to have more than three million, let alone four. Other European regulars in the top ten include Andrea Ricci, Daniel Rezaei, and Luka Bojovic.

Anson Tsang is tied with Bojovic for tenth as he is looking for his fourth bracelet. His other three were all won at WSOP Europe, so he will be familiar with navigating these fields. The other bracelet winners who are looking to add to their collection are Dietrich Fast (1,775,000) and Simone Andrian (530,000).

Meanwhile, notable names such as Fabian Gumz (1,490,000), Enrico Camosci (1,450,000), Vladas Tamasauskas (1,150,000), Sirzat Hissou (790,000), and David Dongwoo Ko (575,000) all have a bag waiting for them at the start of Day 4.

All players have locked up at least €30,300 already, but all eyes will be on the eye-watering first prize of €1,300,000, the lion's share of the €7,219,200 prize pool the 768 entries created. Meanwhile, the eight players who make the official final table will guarantee themselves a six-figure payout.

The tournament will restart at noon local time in Level 22: 20,000/40,000 with a big blind ante of 40,000. All levels will last for 90 minutes, as they have throughout the entire event, and a break is scheduled after every level. The tournament is expected to play down to at least its final table today, after which the lucky few remaining bag and tag for the final day.

Stay tuned to PokerNews to catch all the action live from the tournament floor as an action-packed Day 4 will separate the wheat from the chaff in the WSOP Europe Main Event.
