Krieger Doubles Through Stalmach; Stalmach Doubles Right Back

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Philipp Krieger opened to 10,000 from the button before Aaron Stalmach three-bet to 33,000 from the big blind. Krieger made it 100,000 and called off the 61,000 he had behind when Stalmach went all in.

Philipp Krieger: QQ
Aaron Stalmach: AK

"El Classico," said Kriger as the cards went on their backs.

Krieger's queens remained best on the 9657J runout and reduced Stalmach's stack to 14,500.

The following hand, Krieger limped in, as did Jan Wieckenberg from the button. Stalmach followed suit in the small blind, and Ercan Atmaca checked his option from the big blind.

The Q52 flop checked through to the 4 turn. Action checked to Krieger, who bet 21,500. Wieckenberg folded, Stalmach called all-in, and Atmaca got out of the way.

Stalmach had a wheel with his A3, and he held out against the 107 held by Krieger as the A river completed the board.
