Balic Nearly Triples With Fortunate Turn

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Angelo Marrone raised to 1,600 in the hijack and Ramo Balic called from the cutoff before Ilija Savevski moved all in for 9,000 in the small blind. Marrone reshoved and Balic called for around 15,000.

Ilija Savevski: AK
Ramo Balic: 88
Angelo Marrone: QJ

The flop came Q4Q and Marrone made trips to take a big lead in the hand and leave both opponents on the cusp of elimination. The turn, though, came the 8 and Balic made a full house.

The 9 fell on the river and Balic scooped the pot, sending Savevski to the rail while doubling up off Marrone.
