Timothy Adams

Timothy Adams' open was met with a three-bet to 53,000 from Jin-Hoon Lee in the small blind. Adams responded by moving his covering stack all in, and after taking some time Lee made the call.

Jin-Hoon Lee: QQ
Timothy Adams: AK

Adams found a pair in the window of the K54 flop, staying ahead after the 8 turn and improving on the A river to score the knockout.

At a nearby table, Alex Keating also hit the rail.

Jaros Cracks Bogdanov's Aces

Level 8 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Patrik Jaros
Patrik Jaros

Patrik Jaros raised from middle position and was called by Selahaddin Bedir in the small blind. Yulian Bogdanov then three-bet from the big blind to 45,500.

Jaros called while Bedir folded before the dealer revealed the J43 flop. Bogdanov led out for 35,500 and Jaros called to the K turn.

Bogdanov slowed down with a check, calling when Jaros fired 80,000 into the middle. The 2 river put four diamonds on board and both players check before the hands were turned up.

Bogdanov showed AA, while Jaros turned up 22 for a rivered set to claim the pot.

Lin "Coolered" Out of the Tournament

Level 7 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Ren Lin
Ren Lin

Giuliano Bendinelli, Ren Lin, and Ben Heath had created a pot of 120,000 when they arrived on the turn on 3567. Bendinelli bet 50,000 from the big blind before Lin min-raised to 100,000 from the hijack. Heath quickly folded his button before Bendinelli shoved all in, covering Lin's stack.

Lin lamented his situation, but eventually made the call, declaring the hand a cooler and complimenting his opponent's hand before a showdown had taken place.

Ren Lin: J4
Giuliano Bendinelli: A8

Lin's straight was drawing dead to the nut flush of Bendinelli, and he stood up and left before the Q river completed the board.

Four-Bet Goes Wrong for Lin

Level 7 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Ren Lin
Ren Lin

Ren Lin open-raised from middle position before the action folded to Arturo Paduano in the big blind, who made a three-bet to 33,000.

Not enough for Lin, who four-bet to 60,000. Paduano then spent a few minutes in the tank before shoving all in, covering Lin's stack of 396,000.

"I think I dominate you," claimed Lin, while folding his A6 face-up.

However, Paduano was kind enough to table his AK to show Lin that was not quite the case.

Vito Chip Leading After Eliminating Astedt

Level 6 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Enzo Vito
Enzo Vito

Enzo Vito was seen with a big stack of roughly 900,000, and Niklas Astedt's chair was left empty. Vito was kind enough to tell PokerNews that he eliminated Astedt after Vito flopped a full house on 1010x8 with his 8x8x.

Astedt was playing the nut flush draw with A5 but had to hit runner-runner full house instead to still win the pot. He failed to do so and was the first casualty of Day 1.

Johan Guilbert
Johan Guilbert

Johan Guilbert and Julien Sitbon were heads up on a board showing 910K and a bet of 3,500 sitting in front of Guilbert on the button.

Sitbon then check-raised to 35,000 and Guilbert took some time before making the call. The J turn followed and Sitbon led out for 30,000. Guilbert counted out his stack before making the call.

The 10 river saw Sitbon check. Guilbert announced a bet of 29,000, bringing a smile to Sitbon's face as he questioned the size of the bet. Sitbon thought for a moment before tossing in the call.

Guilbert tabled QQ for a straight flush, while Sitbon showed the A as the pot slid to his left.

Santhosh Suvarna
Santhosh Suvarna

The action was picked up on the turn on a board of 2K24. With around 17,000 chips in the middle, Johan Guilbert checked from the big blind to Santhosh Survarna under the gun. The river of 8 was then dealt and Guilbert decided to lead out for 3,000 chips.

Suvarna responded with a raise to 10,000 and Guilbert took little time before making the call. Suvarna tabled 1010 for a pair of tens, and it awarded him the pot when Guilbert mucked his cards, much to the amusement of Ren Lin, who was seated next to the victor.
