Liu Cracks Aces to Score Massive Double

Level 26 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Wing Po Liu
Wing Po Liu

Gergo Nagy limped in from under the gun and Wing Po Liu raised to 325,000 from the hijack. Nagy responded with a pot-sized raise to 1,125,000 which Liu called.

The flop came 1032 and Nagy moved all in, covering Liu's remaining stack of 1,235,000. Liu considered his options for roughly two minutes before making the call to put himself at risk.

Wing Po Liu: AK109
Gergo Nagy: AAK3

Nagy was ahead with an overpair but the K turn gave Liu the lead with two pair. The 9 river changed nothing for either player and Liu collected a gargantuan double up while Nagy was left with less than ten big blinds.

Eljach Extends His Lead

Level 27 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Omar Eljach opened to 300,000 on the button and Wing Po Liu defended his big blind.

Both players checked on the 1039 flop and then Liu led out for 550,000 when the 4 fell on the turn. Eljach responded by sticking in a raise to 2,330,000, which sent Liu deep into the tank.

Liu eventually thought better of it and let his hand and Eljach added to his ever-growing stack.

Liu Makes the Right Call to Double Through Eljach

Level 27 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Omar Eljach opened to 300,000 on the button and was called by Wing Po Liu in the big blind.

Liu check-called a 300,000 bet from Eljach on the 2Q6 flop and then a 1,320,000 bet from Eljach on the 3 turn.

The Q completed the board and Liu checked to Eljach once more. Eljach bet enough to put Liu all in for his last 1,500,000 and Liu called after a bit of deliberation.

Eljach showed K852 for a bluff and Liu turned over KQ54 for trip queens, which was good for the double up.
