Paleologos Soars to the Top; Cabitza Bins Kings Preflop

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Andreas Paleologos

Andreas Paleologos opened to 30,000 from under the gun before Gianluca Cabitza three-bet to 105,000 from the hijack. The action folded to Deividas Butnoras in the big blind, who made it 265,000.

Paleologos paused for a few moments before moving all in. Cabitza showed clear frustration at the spot and appeared to make a reluctant fold. Butnoras was also not too thrilled but did call after around 30 seconds.

Andreas Paleologos: AA
Deividas Butnoras: KK

Cabitza's frustration soon turned into elation as he said he folded KK as the cards were going on their backs.

If Cabitza was being truthful, Butnoras was drawing extremely thin, but he did pick up outs to Broadway after the AQJ flop. Any chances of a bad beat were quashed as Paleologos filled up on the J turn. The 4 river completed the board.

With the pot, Paleologos has soared to the top end of the chip counts.
