Carter Newhof Eliminated in 3rd Place (€ 47,286)

Level 34 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Antoine Vranken shoved all in for 1,975,000 on the button and Carter Newhof thought for a minute before making the call from the big blind. Vranken held {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and was dominating the {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} of Newhof.

The board ran out {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Vranken held on to double through Newhof.

On the next hand, Moncef Karoui raised to 525,000 on the button and Newhof jammed all in for around 2,800,000. Karoui asked for a quick count and then called.

Newhof flipped over {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and was flipping against the {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} of Karoui. The flop came {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Karoui took a big lead with a pair of aces. The {8-Clubs} on the turn nor the {6-Clubs} on the river would help Newhof as he was eliminated in third place.
