Ribeiro Somehow Survives

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Tomas Ribeiro
Tomas Ribeiro

Alan Sabo limped in from the cutoff and so did Amir Mozaffarian on the button and Tomas Ribeiro was all-in for his last 1,000 in the small blind. Emre Zingal opted to check in the big blind which meant that Ribeiro stood to win 10,000 while the rest played for the remaining 15,000.

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and Zingal checked. Sabo bet 8,000 for the rest to fold.

After the action was completed on the other tables, the cards were flipped over.

Tomas Ribeiro: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Alan Sabo: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}

Riberio had flopped two pair and the flush draw but Sabo had hit trips treys.

The turn was the {k-Spades} for Ribeiro to improve to the higher trips.

The river completed the board with the {9-Hearts} to keep Ribeiro ahead for him to get some more chips to hang on to during the bubble.
