Costin and Sinclair Tangle

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

The flop read {9-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Jack Sinclair had checked in the big blind. Cristinel Costin fired a bet of 30,000 out for Sinclair to raise to 90,000. Costin contemplated his options for a bit and then made the call.

The turn was the {a-} to pair the board up. Sinclair checked again and this time, Costin continued with a bet of 75,000 which was called.

The river completed the board with the {2-Clubs} and Sinclair checked for the final time. Costin barreled 200,000 over the line to send Sinclair into the tank.

After Costin peppered Sinclair with several remarks about the hands, the situation, and so on, he called the clock on Sinclair but before the floor could come over, Sinclair made the call with a grimace on his face. Costin tabled the {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for the nut flush for Sinclair to muck.

From the talk afterwards, it seems like Sinclair had the lower flush.
