Julien Martini has had a day to remember, he became France's most coveted World Series of Poker player following his victory in Event #12: €2,000 8-Game and then finished Day 1 of Event #13: €10,000 NLH 6-Max as the chip leader with a stack of 1,317,000. He's in pole position to win the lion's share of the €672,695 prizepool as well as adding another bracelet to his resume from the 2021 World Series Poker Europe.
The Netherland's Sirzat Hissou (1,005,000) and Romain Le Dantec (800,000) round out the top three Day 1 chip stacks.
The likes of Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier, Johan Guilbert and Roland Israelashvili were other notable names to jump over the first hurdle.
Some big names who could not pilot a stack over to Day 2 include Ole Schemion, Martin Kabrhel and Event #10: €25,000 NLH Platinum High Roller Winner Andriy Lyubovetskiy.
Only 11 entrants will make the money, with the min-cash being a respectable €18,049 and the top prize being whopping €207,267.
The tournament saw 73 total entries, with only 13 players making it through to Day 2. The next stage of the event will play out at King's Resort, Rozvadov at 10 a.m. CET on Friday December 3 and will close once the final table has been reached. Day 3 will then resume on Saturday, December 4 at 12 p.m. with the stream going live at 6:30 p.m. local time.
