Nitsche Gets Gifted a Double Up

Level 16 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche

Dominik Nitsche limped in from the hijack which invited James Chen to come along from the cutoff along with Cary Katz in the big blind. The flop came {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and the action checked to Chen who bet 800,000. Katz quickly folded but Nitsche called.

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and Nitsche checked again. Chen fired out a bet of 2,600,000 and Nitsche called once more. The river was the {k-Hearts} and Nitsche checked for the third time. Chen shipped all in and Nitsche snapped off the last 8,975,000. Chen held {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for a pair of sevens while Nitsche held the nut flush with {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.
