Lim Doubles Through Grafton

Level 6 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

The flop read {j-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Spades} and Chin Wei Lim bet from the big blind which Sam Grafton called in the early position for the pot to increase to around 1,400,000.

They both checked through the {9-Clubs} on the turn to the {3-Diamonds} on the river. Lim shoved for 1,220,000 and Grafton dived into the tank. After using two time-banks, Grafton made the call. Lim tabled {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for the set of queens while Grafton held {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} for the overpair.

Badziakouski Doubles Through Tang

Level 6 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Christoph Vogelsang raised to 52,000 from the cutoff and Danny Tang three-bet from the button. Mikita Badziakouski four-bet shoved from the small blind for about 900,000 and Vogelsang snap-folded but Tang made the call.

Mikita Badziakouski: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Danny Tang: {8-Spades}{8-Spades}

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} giving Tang a set of eights but Badziakouski an open-ended straight draw and a flush draw. The {5-Hearts} turn and {7-Hearts} river filled up the board and Badziakouski rivered a straight to double up.

Full House over Flush for Ivey

Level 6 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Phil Ivey had raised from the button and Manig Loeser three-bet in the small blind which Ivey called.

The flop came {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, Loeser bet 290,000 and Ivey called.

They both checked through the {k-Clubs} on the turn to the {10-Hearts} on the river. Both players checked again. Loeser tabled {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the flush. It took a few seconds and then Ivey apologized as he realized he had a full house with the {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} to scoop the pot.

Kempe Kicked Out by Phua

Level 6 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante
Rainer Kempe
Rainer Kempe

Paul Phua raised to 54,000 from under the gun and Mikita Badziakouski three-bet to 160,000 in the cutoff. Rainer Kempe four-bet shoved for 972,000 in total. Phua used a time-bank and then decided to shove for more, around 1,700,000. Badziakouski looked pained and reluctantly folded but wanted to keep the cards with him.

Rainer Kempe: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Paul Phua: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The flop came {3-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Badziakouski threw his cards in the muck.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds} which meant that a six on the river would chop the pot.

But the river completed the board with the {q-Clubs} for Phua to hit the higher pair of queens to send Kempe packing.

Chen Has Two Pair

Level 6 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

The board read {3-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades} with around 1,800,000 in the middle already.

James Chen was contemplating his options in the small blind and then decided to bet 630,000. Matthias Eibinger quickly made the call from the cutoff but mucked when Chen tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} for two pair, aces and eights.

Nitsche Falls to Pidun

Level 6 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante
Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche

There was a pot of around 340,000 in the middle and the flop was reading {j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} when Dominik Nitsche checked from the small blind. Thomer Pidun bet 150,000 from the big blind and Nitsche check-called.

The turn brought the {2-Clubs} and Nitsche check-called another bet of 300,000 from Pidun. The {10-Hearts} river filled up the board and Nitsche checked for a third time. Pidun went deep into the tank, using one of his time bank cards, then moved all in for about 1,600,000. Nitsche called for less. Pidun turned over {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} to win the pot with queens and deuces and Nitsche showed {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for jacks and deuces before heading to the exit.

Johannes Becker has just taken a seat in the tournament.
