One Loss, One Win for Filatov

Level 21 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Anatoly Filatov limped in on the button with {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Chin Wei Lim opted to check with {q-Spades}{5-Spades}. The flop came {8-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for Lim to pick up the flush draw while Filatov hit a pair of eights. Lim check-called the 1,000,000 bet of Filatov. The turn was the {7-Clubs}, Lim now bet 2,300,000 and Filatov called. The river completed the board with the {k-Spades} to give Lim the flush. Lim checked and Filatov quickly glanced at his own stack and then opted to check it back for Lim to scoop the pot.

Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 1,600,000 from the button with {a-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Filatov defended with {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{q-Spades} for Filatov to hit bottom pair. Thorel bet 1,600,000 and Filatov called. The turn was the {6-Hearts}, Filatov checked and Thorel did the same to see the {9-Clubs} complete the board. Filatov made trip nines and bet 4,500,000. Thorel folded.
