Badziakouski Wins a Peculiar Hand

Level 27 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Christian Rudolph opened to 2,100,000 on the button with {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Mikita Badziakouski three-bet to 7,500,000 with {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs} in the small blind. Rudolph just called to see a flop of {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}.

Badziakouski was left with just 5,200,000 but opted to check to Rudolph who bet 1,800,000 with his open-ended straight draw. Badziakouski called and the {6-Spades} landed on the turn.

Both players checked and the {5-Diamonds} completed the board. Badziakouski tanked before checking again and Rudolph quickly knuckled the table in frustration. In a hand that left a lot of people scratching their head, Badziakouski was able to nearly double up with ace-high.
