Righetti Gets the Hammer Dropped On

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

A large pot was brewing between Juergen Hammer and Alessandro Righetti with around 15,000 already in the middle. The board read {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and the two players stuck in 21,600 each on the turn.

The river brought the {8-Hearts} and Hammer stuck in a bet of 25,000. Righetti was down to his last 21,700 chips and took some time to make a decision.

"I'll show you my cards if you fold," Hammer said. Righetti still thought for another minute before finally letting go of his cards. Hammer was about to muck his cards when Jeff Madsen reminded him of what he said. Hammer obliged and flashed the {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for a full house.
