Mrakes Makes Konopelko Fold

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Andrei Konopelko raised from the cutoff to 135,000 and Michal Mrakes bumped it up to 375,000 from the button. The players in the blinds both folded and they went heads-up to the flop.

The flop came down {2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades} and both players checked to see the {7-Clubs} turn. Konopelko took over the betting initiative by firing 275,000. Mrakes counted out chips, but then added on another 300,000 as he raised to 575,000. Konopelko thought about it before releasing his hand and sending the chips to his left neighbor.

Gutyi Rivers a Flush

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Mykhailo Gutyi raised to 140,000 on the button and Sebastian Ulrich called from the big blind. The flop came {k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Ulrich check-called a bet of 125,000 from Gutyi.

The {6-Hearts} paired the board on the turn and both players checked to the {10-Diamonds} on the river. Ulrich led out for 220,000 and Gutyi raised to 750,000. Ulrich flicked in a chip to call and Gutyi turned over {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a flush, which was good enough to win the hand.

Alexandre Viard Eliminated in 12th Place (€6,949)

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Alexandre Viard
Alexandre Viard

Mario Llapi opened under the gun to 130,000 and two seats over it was Alexandre Viard who requested the red all-in triangle by announcing all in. It folded all the way back to Llapi who didn't call right away, despite calling for his friends while the other players still had a decision to make.

Llapi ended up calling and it didn't look all that special with {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} against the {A-Hearts}{J-Spades} of Viard. The board ran out {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Llapi ended up with the flush.

No chop pot for Viard who gets sent to the rail in 12th place, banking €6,949.

Henrik Brockmann
Henrik Brockmann

The {4-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Clubs} flop was already out there with about 300,000 in the pot and Timur Magdolin sat in the under the gun position as he bet 150,000. Henrik Brockmann called quickly to see the {9-Diamonds} turn roll off the deck.

Margolin bet 420,000 this time and Brockmann called again to see the {7-Hearts} river complete the board.

Margolin put out a 950,000 river bet and Brockmann went deep into the tank. He called after six minutes showing down {8-Spades}{7-Spades} and winning the pot.

Margolin Rebuilding His Stack

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

With the board reading {8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Sebastian Ulrich tossed in a bet of 125,000 on the button. Timur Margolin check-called from the small blind and the {6-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Margolin checked again and Ulrich fired another 375,000. Margolin still called and the {5-Diamonds} completed the board. Margolin led out for 650,000 this time and Ulrich showed his displeasure with the river card.

After a couple of minutes, Ulrich finally decided to fold and showed {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} in doing so. "Can we just play until the turn?" he asked.

"I wish we could get rid of that {k-Diamonds} from before," Margolin said referring to Henrik Brockmann's double up where he hit a flush on the river.

Margolin Doubles Through Gutyi

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Timur Margolin
Timur Margolin

Timur Margolin opened with a raise to 110,000 from late position and big blind Mykhailo Gutyi three-bet to 400,000 when it folded to him. Margolin took his time before moving all in for 1,245,000. Gutyi called within a second and they were flipping as Margolin opened {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Gutyi showed {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Gutyi started shaking his head. He told Margolin he was never going to win after this flop and Margolin chuckled. The turn was the {2-Hearts} and the river the {10-Diamonds} which awarded Margolin the pot.

Brockmann's Bluff Attempt Fails

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Sebastian Ulrich limped in from the cutoff and Raul Henriquez called from the small blind. Henrik Brockmann raised to 150,000 out of the big blind and just Ulrich called. The flop came {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} and Brockmann led out for 80,000 which Ulrich called.

The turn brought the {9-Diamonds} and Brockmann checked this time. Ulrich bet 180,000 and Brockmann stuck around to see the {k-Clubs} on the river. Brockmann tossed in a small bet of 175,000 and Ulrich snapped him off. Brockmann flipped over {a-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Ulrich tabled {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a straight.
