Strong Kicker for Bujtas

Level 30 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Krasimir Yankov opened to 400,000 on the button with {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Laszlo Bujtas defended in the big blind holding a dominating {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. The flop came {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} to give both players top pair and Bujtas check-called a bet of 400,000 from Yankov.

The turn brought the {5-Spades} and Bujtas led out for 625,000. Yankov called and the {3-Hearts} on the river slowed the action. Both players checked and Bujtas scooped the pot with the better kicker.

Sinclair Misses a Combo Draw

Level 30 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Jack Sinclair limped in from the small blind with {7-Spades}{6-Spades} and Laszlo Bujtas checked his option in the big blind with {j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. The flop fell {j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Sinclair led out for 300,000 with a straight and flush draw. Bujtas called with top pair and the {7-Diamonds} landed on the turn.

Sinclair checked after making a pair and Bujtas checked it back. The {3-Diamonds} completed the board and Sinclair checked again. Bujtas tossed in a bet of 400,000 and Sinclair made the correct laydown.

Pair vs Pair

Level 30 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Jack Sinclair limped in from the small blind with {k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Laszlo Bujtas checked his option holding {7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. The flop of {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} gave both players a pair but they opted to check it.

The {9-Spades} came on the turn and Sinclair checked again. Bujtas checked it back and the {q-Spades} on the river made the board even scarier. Sinclair checked one more time and Bujtas was happy to reach showdown. Sinclair dragged in the pot with a pair of kings in the first hand that seen a flop since the break.

Ryan Riess Eliminated in 4th Place (€337,778)

Level 30 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

Ryan Riess limped in on the button and Laszlo Bujtas also called from the small blind. Krasimir Yankov made it 1,000,000 in the big blind and Riess shipped all in for 5,590,000. Bujtas quickly stepped aside and Yankov snap-called.

Krasimir Yankov: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Ryan Riess: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

Riess would need a seven in order to stay alive but the flop of {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs} left him grasping at straws. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn changed nothing and the {2-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. Riess was unable to come from behind and was ousted in fourth place.

Milos Skrbic Eliminated in 5th Place (€241,718)

Milos Skrbic
Milos Skrbic

Milos Skrbic moved all in for 3,625,000 from the button. Ryan Riess folded his small blind and Laszlo Bujtas called in the big blind.

Milos Skrbic: {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Laszlo Bujtas: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The start-of-day chip leader had fallen on hard times after the doubles of Yankov and Sinclair, but would need to hit to stay alive.

An ace on the {a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop wasn't the best start, and he was drawing dead on the {6-Diamonds} turn. The river was the {2-Clubs} and the start-of-day chip leader was eliminated in fifth place for €241,718.

Aggression Pays Off for Bujtas

Level 30 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Ryan Riess opened to 425,000 on the button with {8-Spades}{6-Spades} and Laszlo Bujtas three-bet to 1,700,000 in the small blind with {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}. Krasimir Yankov tanked for over two minutes in the big blind with {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} but eventually sent the best hand into the muck. Riess wasted little time before dispatching his cards and Bujtas took it down with pure aggression.
