With the start of Day 1E at noon local time, Event #1: €550 COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold'em will have passed its half-way point here at the King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic. The fifth of eight starting flights is expected to be busier as traditionally the later days attract more players to compete for the €1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.

The first four starting days attracted 610 players already with many more expected to take their seat over the following flights. Out of those 610 entries, 51 have already made it through to Day 2, Sunday, October 14. Fresh players and the ones that fell at one of the hurdles over the past four Day 1s can try again with registration open for the first ten levels.

After players have paid the €550 buy-in, they will receive 25,000 in chips and can re-enter once per flight. Eighteen levels of play are scheduled with a 20-minute break after every four levels. At 6 PM local time, another starting flight, Day 1F, is scheduled to start, so it will be another busy day in Europe’s biggest poker arena.

Currently leading the chip counts are Day 1A chip leader Dariusz Glinski with 669,000 in chips, followed by Day 1C chip leader Daniel Prior (649,000), and Day 1D chip leader Jan Bednar (633,000). Not everyone that played over the past three days has found a bag for Day 2 yet though, so most of them are expected to jump in again today. Players like Sander van Wesemael, Shaun Deeb, Roland Israelashvili, Jakob Miegel, Teun Kooij, Allen Kessler, Carlo Savinelli, Michael Soyza, Michal Lubas, and numerous others will be taking another shot.
