Chop It Up!

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Jan Bednar raised to 18,000 from the cutoff and Theodore McQuilkin three-bet to 46,000 in the small blind. Bednar made the call and the flop came {q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. McQuilkin led out for 56,000 and Bednar called to see the {j-Hearts} on the turn.

McQuilkin fired another bet of 116,000 and Bednar eventually called. The {j-Spades} landed on the river and McQuilkin shoved all-in for 271,000. Bednar went into the tank for nearly three minutes with a look of agony on his face. The clock was finally called and Bednar made the call. McQuilkin turned over {a-Spades}{q-Spades} and Bednar breathed a sigh of relief when he showed {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. The two players chopped the pot and lived to fight another day.
