Hellmuth Holds Against Hallaert

Kenny Hallaert was on his way out from the tournament area but was kind enough to tell us his bustout hand.

"I had {A-Spades}{J-}{4-Spades}{3-} in mid-position and still had 4,600 and raised to 3,500 pre-flop. Phil Hellmuth and the player in the big blind called. The flop came {Q-}{J-}{9-} with one spade so I had a backdoor flush draw. I shoved for my remaining 1,100, Hellmuth made it 3,500. The big blind went all-in for about 9,000 and then Hellmuth called. Hellmuth had {Q-}{Q-}{8-}{5-} and the other player had {9-}{9-}{5-}{5-} and I bricked the turn and river. Hellmuth eliminated both of us."
