Schemion Takes a Beating
On a board reading , Charlie Carrel was in the big blind and heads-up with Ole Schemion directly to his left. They each put in 500,000 on the turn and the on the river put four spades on the board. Carrel checked and Schemion fired 1.02 million into the pot. Carrel tanked for a couple minutes before making the call. Schemion tabled and Carrel turned over for a small flush.
In the next hand, Bryn Kenney raised to 350,000 from under the gun and Schemion defended his big blind. The flop fell and Schemion check-called a bet of 525,000 from Kenney. The peeled off on the turn and Schemion checked again. Kenney pushed forward a stack of T100,000 chips for around 2.5 million.
Schemion only had just over 2 million remaining and decided to make the call. Kenney showed for top pair while Schemion held for second pair and a straight draw. The on the river changed nothing and Schemion was eliminated.
