Savinelli Shows the Bluff

Level 9 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Ognjen Sekularac opened to 100,000 from under the gun and Carlo Savinelli called on the button. The flop came {10-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Sekularac continued for 90,000. Savinelli made the call and the {q-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Sekularac checked and Savinelli seized the opportunity to bet 140,000. Sekularac, however, check-raised to 290,000 and Savinelli called. The river double-paired the board with the {q-Spades} and Sekularac checked. Savinelli fired a large bet of 775,000. Sekularac quickly mucked his hand and Savinelli proceeded to show {j-}{9-} for a missed straight draw.
