Adams Puts Desset to the Test

Level 6 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Dario Sammartino opened to 55,000 from the hijack and Andrej Desset three-bet to 170,000 in the cutoff. Timothy Adams was in the small blind and four-bet to 575,000. Sammartino laid his hand down and Desset proceeded to call.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Adams led out for 275,000. Desset called and the {3-Clubs} slowed things down on the turn as both players checked to the {7-Diamonds} on the river. Adams shoved all in for 1,590,000 and Desset slammed his chips down in frustration. His head fell into his hands and he tanked for nearly three minutes. The clock was eventually called and when the timer reached zero, Desset's hand was dead.
