Delahunty Slips Up, Hefter Doubles, Cormier Takes the Lead

Darren Delahunty raised to 4,600 from middle position and was called by Ryan Hughes on the button, Ryan Hefter in the small blind, and Jeff Cormier in the big blind.

The flop came {6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and the action was checked to Delahunty who announced all-in. Hughes mucked his cards and Hefter snap-called. "Oops!" Delahunty said aloud as Cormier mucked his cards. Delahunty turned over {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} but Hefter tabled a set with {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}.

The turn was the {3-Clubs} and Delahunty picked up a flush draw on the turn again. This time, the {4-Spades} on the river wasn't as helpful and Hefter scored a massive double up through Delahunty.

Just two hands later, Delahunty came over to the media desk to explain that he busted after holding the chip lead at one point. According to the story, Delahunty flopped two pair and Cormier flopped a queen-high straight. All of the money went in the middle on the flop and Delahunty was unable to catch up.
