Negreanu Fighting Back

Action folded to a short-stacked Daniel Negreanu in the cutoff and he just limped. Mike "Timex" McDonald then limped from the small blind, Micah Smith checked his option from the big, and it was three-handed action to the {9-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} flop.

Two checks put action on Negreanu, and he opted to move all in for 1,400 of his remaining 1,500. McDonald quickly got out of the way, and Smith made a very reluctant raise. Negreanu committed his last 100 and the cards were turned over.

Showdown
Negreanu: {K-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Smith: {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}

Neither the {A-Diamonds} turn nor {3-Clubs} river helped Smith and Negreanu took down the pot with queens and nines.
