Deeb Nearly Doubles

On the river the board read {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} in a hand between Freddy Deeb and Ted Lawson. From the small blind Deeb had bet 2,700 with only 800 chips behind. "I've only got a lousy flush," Lawson stated as Deeb kept staring into the distance. "And I've got three diamonds as well. I think I have to call" Lawson added before he finally threw in the chips.

Lawson showed his {J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Deeb said, "I've got this," as he turned over {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}, "And this" as he turned over {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for the best possible hand. "Why are you slowrolling me Freddy?," Lawson said to Deeb who raked in the pot. "Don't cry now Ted, i've doubled you up many times in the past".

Deeb and Lawson probably know each other for many years and a bit of needling has to be part of the game to keep it fun.
