Aces Don't Always Nguyen
Hoyt Corkins limped in and Ian Frazer made up the small blind; big blind Men Nguyen checked, and they were at a flop.
Flop:
The action checked around to Corkins, who bet 7,000. Frazer folded at speed, but Nguyen made the call and they saw a turn.
Turn:
Nguyen now bet out 14,000, and this time it was Corkins' turn to do the calling.
River:
Nguyen checked, and now Corkins bet 25,000, around half his remaining stack. Nguyen now disappeared into a tank of indecision for some minutes. Everyone else at the table wandered off on break, and still he dwelled. Eventually he picked up his cards, holding them up so that literally everyone in the vicinity with the possible exception of Hoyt Corkins could see them. He looked sadly at his , lovingly arranging and rearranging them, before eventually folding.
Corkins is up to a shade over 100,000.
