"Why Do I Get Myself in These Spots?"
Both players checked the flop before Remme led out for 1,500 on the turn. Tabatabai made the call so we headed to the river. Remme then moved all in for 5,500.
Tabatabai dwelled for an age and tried to speak, as he does, to his opponent in an attempt to get a read. He then tilted his head upwards and said, "Why do I get my myself in these situations?"
He ended up making the call but mucked when Remme tabled for a rivered set.
Tabatabai's look said it all and he now nurses a 17,600 stack. Remme is on 16,300.
