As if wearying now that the excitement of the bubble is over, there has been little action since the players returned from the break.
The most active player thus far, although there are a number of fairly short stacks, has been William Haughey, getting all his chips in the middle apparently as often as possible. Most recently he tried it from the button, pushing for all his 87,500 after Talal Shakerchi had made it 11,000 from the cutoff. To everyone's surprise, Shakerchi folded up. Haughey raked in the chips and mucked.
For some entertainment, British poker scene fixture Catman was spotted at the rail, blowing a good luck kiss to Mel Judah.
Mike Matusow opened for 10,500, Philippe Rouas called and Soren Kongsgaard called from the small blind. The flop was . The action was checked to Rouas, who bet 25,000. Kongsgaard called and Matusow folded. The turn was the and both players checked. The on the river brought a 60,000 bet from Rouas and a call from Kongsgaard.
Rouas turned up for kings full of aces and Kongsgaard mucked. Rouas raked in the nearly 200,000 pot and is now past the 400,000 mark. Kongsgaard fell to 240,000.
Behind the Wall Of Media, Robin Keston has doubled up most unusually, somehow getting it all in preflop with and somehow finding himself up against Peter Neff's . A three, a four and a five on the board later, and Keston had wheeled his way up to 110,000.
Stanislav Alekhin opened for 11,000, Roberto Machado moved all in for 45,000 and Alekhin swiftly called, showing pocket aces to Machado's pocket jacks. No help for Machado on the board and he hit the rail in 28th place for a £25,340 payday.
