Hand #58 - John Juanda

Ivan Demidov has the button in Seat 6. John Juanda opens the pot with a raise to 45,000. Demidov folds on the button and Stanislav Alekhin then reraises to 112,000. Daniel Negreanu thinks for a moment before eventually discarding his big blind hand and when the action returned to Juanda, he made the call.

Flop: {10-Clubs} {2-Spades} {10-Hearts}

First to act, Alekhin checks the flop and Juanda slides 140,000 worth of chips into the middle. Alekhin -- always patient and deliberate -- ponders his move for a solid minute or two before eventually laying down his hand.

Hand #62 - Stanislav Alekhin

John Juanda has the button in Seat 5. Daniel Negreanu limps into the pot from under the gun and Juanda calls from the button. Ivan Demidov completes the small blind and Stanislav Alekhin checks his option in the big.

"It's almost a family pot," commented Jack Effel, before the dealer spread the first three community cards: {J-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {Q-Clubs}

All players checked the flop, and also the {K-Clubs} that fell on the turn.

The last card off the deck was the {3-Clubs} and Alekhin bet 35,000. Negreanu was the only caller and Alekhin turned over {9-?} {10-?} for a king-high straight, which was good enough to take down the pot.

Hand #66 - Ivan Demidov

Bengt Sonnert has the button in Seat 4. Action folds around to John Juanda in the small blind who completes the bet. Ivan Demidov checks his option in the big and the two go heads-up to the {8-Hearts} {A-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} flop.

Juanda passes the first option to Demidov, who bets the minimum, 16,000, and that's all it takes to force Juanda out of the hand.

Hand #67 - Bengt Sonnert

John Juanda has the button in Seat 5. Bengt Sonnert raises to 44,000 from the cutoff and Stanislav Alekhin makes the call from the big blind. The flop is {Q-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}. and both players check. The turn is the {Q-Hearts}. Alekhin checks to Sonnert who bets 55,000. Alekhin bumps it up to 121,000, followed by a swift all-in move from Sonnert. Alekhin gives it up and Sonnert takes down the pot.
